Taking a course of business analysis does not mean that you will be suitable only for a particular type of department in a business organization. A business analyst can wear many hats and may be required to jump from the IT department to the marketing, or banking or finance departments. This is because the job of a business analyst is to come up with effective business strategies to ensure success in any model of business. Since his way of analytical thinking is required by almost every section in a company, he can either choose the particular area in which he would like to work or he can lend a helping hand in all departments.

Choosing to wear many hats will not make him ‘jack of all trades and master of none’; in this regard, it will only enhance his skills as the troubleshooter in all major departments of an organization and make them the subject matter expert for the organization.
