As one of the most challenging and critical positions in any corporate organization, the tasks of a business analyst are certainly cut out! The most important duties of a BA would include learning about the financial strengths and weaknesses of the company and identifying the problem areas with suggestions for improvements. The business analyst has to gain a thorough knowledge of the business procedures of the company and recommend appropriate measures for improvements or hauling up the systems or the introduction of new systems and standards.

A part of the job would be to design alternative business practice work flow, prepare reports for the recommended suggestions, implement the solutions and supervise the execution of the new ideas. A BA also has to get feedback and endeavor to act upon them and a thorough knowledge about the relevant software is necessary.
